Many owners have been frustrated or embarrassed by their dogs' behaviors that no number of "cookies" or treats will break, chasing chickens, lunging at other dogs, jumping on people, etc. Owners find themselves at a loss and do not know how to correct or redirect the dog so they can actually listen and learn coping skills. Treating reactivity can be difficult, but with the right approach, the dog will feel better, and the owner will become a more effective leader. We offer behavior modification programs that are designed to help dogs overcome unwanted emotions and behaviors such as aggression, separation anxiety, and fear. We use a combination of training techniques to help dogs learn new coping mechanisms, better communication skills, and develop positive associations.

This is the most important aspect of private, individualized training sessions. Not only will your dog learn, but so will you. It is imperative that you learn right along with him. You will do the most handling of your dog, ensuring that you learn new handling skills. Your dog is never out of your sight, nor does he need to leave his home for training, unlike board-and-train programs.

Deanna came to my house because I have a very shy and nervous 4-month-old puppy. Upon first meeting her I knew we're going to get along just fine. We have scheduled an appointment in which she's going to bring her other dog along for the lesson because my puppy has interacted with other dogs before. I rescued gorgeous don't know what type of life she had on the big island but I'm sure Deanna is going to give me enough knowledge to have gorgeous open up and be the playful puppy she deserves to be.
